Privacy policy

This page explains what Hatbodol BD collects about you, who can see it, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• Your account: your name, email address, mobile number, WhatsApp number and, if you add one, a profile photo. We don't check numbers by SMS.
• Your ads: the text, photos, video, price and details you enter, and the place you pin on the map.
• What you do here: the ads you save, the reports you send, and how often each ad's page is opened.
• Technical details: your IP address and browser type. We use them to keep the service safe (for example against repeated wrong passwords and spam) and to count each visitor once a day on an ad. We don’t keep them to follow you around.

What other people can see

• Your name, photo and the date you joined appear on your ads and your profile.
• Your phone and WhatsApp numbers are shown only to people who are logged in.
• An ad shows the area on the map; the exact place only if you choose to show it.
• Your email address is never shown to anyone.

How we use it

• To run the service: to show your ads, let people contact you, and send you account emails such as codes and password resets.
• To keep it safe: to check ads, deal with reports, and block accounts that break our terms.
• We don't sell your data, and we don't show other companies' advertising.

Who handles it for us

They use your data only to provide their service to us.

• Google Cloud: our servers and storage, in Mumbai (India).
• Cloudflare: protects the site and makes it faster.
• Brevo: sends our emails.

Cookies

We use cookies only to keep you logged in. Your browser also remembers whether you chose the light or dark look. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

• An ad you delete leaves the site at once. We keep a record of it for a while, in case someone reports a scam.
• You can ask us to delete your account and your data at any time: write to [email protected] from the email address of your account.

Your choices

You can see and correct your details on your account page. To get a copy of your data, or to have it deleted, email [email protected].

Hatbodol BD is open to people of all ages. If you are under 18, please use it with a parent or guardian's knowledge. A parent or guardian can ask us to delete a child's account and details: email [email protected].
